Moving Weekend!

Oh these are exciting times, if Morphius is right and all. I can't wait to see what this place is capable of... once it's been emptied and cleaned and put back together by me.

This is the weekend my roommate Rogier moves out. He's with family and friends painting his new living room. And tomorrow all these boxes and so much more is going to be carried across town to said living room.

And I'm nesting... using what I've got to improve the festive qualities of my living space. Indeed I'm so pleased with the Christmas lights that I may restring them afterwards as simple balcony lighting.

Can you believe it? Christmas is right around the corner and a new year is soon to follow. And looking around at the mess and destruction in my home, I can't but feel excited by the possibilities the new year will bring.

OMG I'm tired, and hardly a fraction of the way through the work I have to do just to get Ro out. Never mind the rebuilding. :-) But it's sooo much fun!

I hope you do enjoy every second of your solitude and every inch of your space -- including the space which will now be empty in your wallet.

However, I have been through this a couple of times and usually the extra space in my wallet is worth the peace in my home.

Morgan...I can't wait to see the "after" pictures. Paint and slipcovers can make anything match. I am flipping out because I'm not there to help, to advise, to make the choices, basically to tell you exactly what to do, what to buy, where to buy it and where to place it in the floor plan:-(.....(Get that smirk off your face.)

But, honestly, I'm really, really happy you are enjoying this fun process. Love.....Mom (cum decorator extraordinaire)

"Nesting" in Dec. is perfect timing in my opinion! It's a good time to be indoor and to sip a cup of hot chocolate at home... :$

Quilly, he's not even gone yet (getting the van right now) and my wallet is already much lighter... but I'm sure it's worth it.

Mom, such a shame you aren't here. I need so many more things added to my To Do List.

Hi Zhu... yeah as a Canadian I'm preparing for my winter hibernation. Welcome to my blog!
