I was walking to work this morning in the cold and the rain when suddenly I noticed, right in front of me, the universe was sending a gigantic hug to start the day. Here's a pic.
What? You have a different way of looking at rainbows? Some prismatic trick of separating different wavelengths of photons? Ha, totally laughable! It's clearly a hug from the heavens.

Actually, so far today I've seen three rainbows... and it's still sunny and raining so there's a chance of more.
I figured with all the strife in the world today (Thursday) that perhaps these hugs were for sharing.
My grandmother used to say that rainbows were a sign from the Gods, because not only did you have to be at a certain place under certain circumstances to see them, but you also had to be looking up! (her indication that people were optimistic!)

I thought fairies were sprinkling magic dust on me. Huh. Hugs are good though, so I'll go with that.

Irene, good point, I should call Mom tonight. It's been two days. Sorry, a little slow on SMS'ng too. :-/ Too busy walking around while looking up (which is good for the soul but bad for your toes).

I love teh fact that rianbows are accompanied with rain. When God flooded the earth, he send a rainbow as a promise to man never to repeat such an act of devestation. When teh rainbow appears, for me it symbolizes...I have destroying powers and I could, but i won't! make sme think twice about stuff I say or do...becuase I really don't want him to change his mind :)
