So there's a catch after all....

The jet lag's been good. Not too bad any way. The work today went well. One very well executed meeting and another impromptu one that also went well. Dinner was excellent, the weather was kind, the people have been nice, and the hotel room has been amazing. So where's the catch? This is a business trip, right?

Ah, at 11pm it started. Apparently there's a night club just behind the hotel. 15 stories beneath my window sits a set of speakers that must rival the voice of God for overall intensity. (Although I'm sure God is generally soft spoken.) There's no way I can sleep through this!

The front desk tells me the club is usually open until 2am. It's 1am now. Although they also repeated the "usually" and added that sometimes they go later. This being a Monday night, I certainly hope it's not a super late one.

Those pictures down below are amazing, and I'm glad to know that the bathroom has everything you need. Sorry to hear about the night club, but if you can't sleep, you could always join the fun. :)

Morgan...I'm having a coughing fit from laughing so much while reading that second paragraph! What a hoot!

Earplugs are great companions on planes and in noisy hotel rooms. Don't leave home without them.

It's good to hear things are going well:-).....Hugs, Mom

Sleep is a highly over-rated commodity. Btw, listen to your mother. Ear plugs.

Hey. I thought you said you were in Malaysia. That hotel / nightclub business sounds just like Waikiki ...

I should have joined the fun, because the sleep didn't come. By the time the music stopped I had to take my cold/asthma medicine which then kept me awake quite a while longer.

Earplugs. Hmmm. Never bought any. Perhaps I should.

Sleep is always optional. I'm proving it. I'll sleep when I'm dead (which at this rate won't be long.)

Waikiki is a party spot? Hmmm, I'd be going to bed instead to enjoy the early dive boat.

get the groove on! You could swing in your own hotel sweet and have a playback talent show. You'd win, too. I have some expertise in that department :)

Lordy. I would have eaten the bellhop.

Ah Minka, yes, except I'm no swinger. Enigneer, lover, eater of fine food, and I enjoy dancing. But never swinging. ;)

Doug, damn perhaps I should have invited you. I could have used someone with the strength to argue at that moment. Although in fairness they did offer me a different room which just didn't seem practical at that hour of the morning.

Well that was nice of them. I think it's important to do the right thing just before being eaten.

Dear Ms. Disaster,

You truly are. But I humble regret to inform you that sleep is for wimps and athiests. Quit complaining... you're in the time zone you left!

Respectfully,
